I started my Storm Palm drawings when I did my residency in S.E. Spain in Oct/Nov 2002. The barren desert landscape with these powerful palm trees responding to the changing weather, was an inspiration to me.

A trip to Arizona, USA was planned to escape the rainy weather in Vancouver. Unfortunately, it was exactly like Vancouver except for the palm trees. Fortunately though, it gave me inspiration and ideas for new storm palm drawings.
